Again this year, a large number of works were submitted from around the world.Many of the works were colorful and painted with unique use of colors, and at the same time, they vividly conveyed even the lights and ambience of the place painted. Under the themes of agriculture, farming village, nature, environment, people and family, each of the children freely painted various subjects based on their own feelings, and I could see their free spirit and culture unique to the country. I was able to encounter works that are rich in flexibility and potential characteristic of children. Often, line-based paintings tend to stand out among the works painted by Japanese children, while in this contest, works were submitted from 76 different countries around the world, and in these works, use of colors and matiere stood out more so than lines.Expressions differ by country and each has an exotic scent that is lovely and joyful.
